    NetDecision 5.4 R2 (codename: Monolith) has been released

    NetDecision 5.4 R2 Release Notes

    All

    • All file selectors have been unified across all applications in NetDecision package. The GUI now looks consistent.

    HTTP Server

    • The standalone HTTP server is now deprecated. The web server functionality is now a part of NetDecision MFT Server

    MFT Server

    • The MFT Server now implements entire functionality of HTTP server including Web server stats
    • The Server Configuration window now has tabs. The tabs are used to organize groups of settings specific to particular protocol. Plus one tab is used to configure general settings.

    LaunchPad

    • The LaunchPad now uses FTP protocol for files upload instead of TFTP
    • The TFTP configuration options have been removed from Application Settings
    • The text on tiles is now properly wrapped if too long to fit

    Performance Vision

    • Fixed export data crash if monitor has no data (empty data set)
    • Fixed export data reports “Please select at least one monitor” in case of selected monitor(s) are located within subgroup
    • The Performance Vision now uses NetDecision MFT server as HTTP server instead of having its own built-in web server.
    • The Web server options have been removed from application settings
    • The Performance Vision no longer reports “Failed to initialize COM security” error on Windows Server 2003 when accessing web interface

    MIB Manager

    • MIB Manager no longer fails to parse MIB MODULE IDENTITIES defined like this:

    Network Manager

    • The Network Manager now implements user defined Custom Tools just like in TrapVision
    • The SNMP User Manager now starts properly if user wants to edit SNMPv3 USM profile directly from SNMP page of Element Properties window

    MIB Browser

    • The SNMP User Manager now starts properly if user wants to edit SNMPv3 USM profile directly from Security page of Agent Configuration window

    Trap Simulator

    • The SNMP User Manager now starts properly if user wants to edit SNMPv3 USM profile directly from Security page of Application Settings (Send Parameters)

    LogVision

    • The Log Vision now uses NetDecision MFT server as HTTP server instead of having its own built-in web server.
    • The Web server options have been removed from application settings

    Smart Agent

    • The SNMP User Manager now starts properly if user wants to edit SNMPv3 USM profile directly from Recording page of Agent Settings

    TrapVision

    • The Trap Vision now uses NetDecision MFT server as HTTP server instead of having its own built-in web server.
    • The Web server options have been removed from application settings
    • The TrapVision MIB Repository window has been redesigned to improve user experience. Now the user can see a tooltip displaying full file path if MIB file path is too long to be fully displayed in repository list.
    • The TrapVision no longer crashes after “Crear Aged Traps in DB” tool has been used/closed.
    • The SNMP User Manager now starts properly if user wants to edit SNMPv3 USM profile directly from Security page of Application Settings
